retro ultralight upgrade by s2ka retro ultralight upgrade by s2ka
This is an improved version of my old ultralight design from way back - incorporating parts from actual super marine spitfires.
Micro Art Studio plans to build miniature 3D models based on this design.

Here's some technical drawings on this [link]

Nice plane.  What is that, a howitzer between the pilot's legs (the short, stubby cylinder sticking out forwards)?

I see the 20mm; I was referring to the short stubby cylinder above it that looks a bit like a coffee can.

I was thinking maybe either a one-shot short-range rocket or some kind of landing light.

It's never easy really. I turn to anime movies or what ever gets me motivated whenever I get the block, it works most of the time.

I got if from a vintage German dive bomber called STUKA. Just added my twist to it.:)

Stukas are boss. I originally thought the sound they made when they dived were their engines, but it turns out that there were horns added onto the hull that the Nazis used for an intimidation factor.

I love their vulture like appearance - very menacing. It did a pretty good job at it.

It has a rather whimsical cool quality. It looks like something from a Hayao Miyazaki movie.

Hayao Miyazaki has been my hero since Nausicaa. His flying machines have always had a huge influence on my designs.

As cool as that looks as an engineer I can't help but cringe at how painfully dangerous that design is for the pilot :P

Hey man it looks very cool. We should do a series of tiny vehicles! :P I have a big project I'm considering right now. It would be about the same amount of guys we did before but for the ArmorTech game sheets. I dunno if its worth doing or not but wow it would look amazing if we could do it! I might send you a mail about it pretty soon. I still don't know exactly who I'm doing on the next characters. I have the money now, just not the time! I think I can get some guys done in the next month or so because I'll take 3 weeks off in December and January. :D I hope things are going great with you and your family!
