Cool! Imagine that thing shooting with those (20mm? 30mm? 37mm?) cannons and doing backflips in the air! :D

No protection for the pilot's legs? Not good at all, for a ground attack plane.

Good point. Gonna have to tuck them legs in somehow.:D Additional armored cowl perhaps.

Why is the nose a truncated cone?   You might want to extend it a bit, maybe make it look like the nose from a Henschel Hs 129.

Interesting that the position of the pilot is very similar to the gliders invented by aviation pioneer Otto Lillienthal.

Although this is largely based on the Ju 87, that nose part I took from early bf 109s - the ones with the flatter spinners which I exaggerated here. I got creative and set aerodynamics aside.
I did many variations before arriving at this design. I do like your suggestion!

Thank you. I was tempted but refrained from adding swastikas.

Well, that's certainly 'different'; Burt Rutan levels of different, at that.
Are there retractable skids somewhere on the tail booms?

Thanks for the compliment! No skids here. I used retractable tricycle under carriage. Balanced to keep the tail from touching the ground.

I see; its just that it looks like there is a fixed unicycle undercarriage and couldn't see how the plane would remain balanced on landing.

A good design, it just doesn't look as fun to ride.
Guess I like sports bikes over cruisers.

Yes they are a common feature with these models, theoretically rids the need for rear stabilizers.:)

well the design is going to be unstable at least without fly by wire systems but at least it's not gonna spin wildly every time you try and take off

Those guns, the ammo. not to mention that engine must make it pretty damn heavy.

Though I'm guessing if that's a full fighter engine it must push all the nothing that the rest of the frame is like a beast!

Great job though I have to ask where's the fuel tanks :p

:icons2ka:
s2ka Featured By Owner Dec 30, 2012
Thanks! This is indeed heavier and more robust compared to my previous model. Fuel tanks are installed within the wings.
