Why is the nose a truncated cone?   You might want to extend it a bit, maybe make it look like the nose from a Henschel Hs 129.

Interesting that the position of the pilot is very similar to the gliders invented by aviation pioneer Otto Lillienthal.

Although this is largely based on the Ju 87, that nose part I took from early bf 109s - the ones with the flatter spinners which I exaggerated here. I got creative and set aerodynamics aside.
I did many variations before arriving at this design. I do like your suggestion!

Well, that's certainly 'different'; Burt Rutan levels of different, at that.
Are there retractable skids somewhere on the tail booms?

Thanks for the compliment! No skids here. I used retractable tricycle under carriage. Balanced to keep the tail from touching the ground.

I see; its just that it looks like there is a fixed unicycle undercarriage and couldn't see how the plane would remain balanced on landing.
